YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy, made clear.

This notice explains how This Rental handles your information and the cookies used on this site.

Accounts and applications

We collect your name, email, contact details, and account credentials to maintain your account. If you apply for a rental, we also collect the residence, income, household, and reference details you provide. Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank details, identity documents, or medical information.

Who can see your information

Published property descriptions, addresses, photos, and videos are public. A rental application is available to its applicant, authorized site administrators, and—after fee payment—the landlord of that specific property. Other tenants and landlords cannot access it.

Payments and email

Application fees are collected by Stripe Checkout. Card details are entered on Stripe’s service and are not stored in this application. When you proceed to Stripe’s checkout, its own privacy and cookie notices apply. We send verification, recovery, and application notification emails through the site operator’s email service.

Keeping information secure

Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Private contact details, application records, and service credentials are encrypted in the database.

Cookies & your choices

Cookies are small pieces of information stored in your browser. This site uses only essential cookies for the features you request. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels, and we do not load third-party analytics or advertising scripts.

Secure sign-in

Keeps you signed in to your tenant, landlord, or administrator account. Member authentication lasts up to eight hours and administrator authentication up to 30 minutes between renewals while you use the site. Sign-in cookies are session cookies; browser session-restore settings may retain them.

Form protection

A session cookie helps protect form submissions from unauthorized requests. Your browser controls when the session ends.

Confirmation messages

A temporary cookie carries messages such as a successful save between page requests. The message is cleared after it has been read.

Your privacy choice

thisrental_privacy remembers that you saved essential-only preferences for 180 days. It records the notice version and time saved, without an account identifier. It is created only when you choose “Use essential cookies” or “Save preferences.”

You can review these details at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer. There are no optional cookies to enable or disable. You can delete cookies or block them in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or form submissions. Clearing your privacy choice, using another browser, or an updated cookie notice will make the notice appear again.

Access, corrections, and removal

You can update contact details in My account. For other access, correction, retention, deletion, or refund questions, contact support@thisrental.info.
